Figueiró da Serra was an old parish in the municipality of Gouveia, in the district of Guarda, corresponding to the village that served as the headquarters of the former administrative territory.
In 2011, the locality registered 263 inhabitants and an area of 8.11 km², data that help to frame the territorial and demographic dimension of the former territory.
It had as a patron saint Nossa Senhora da Conceição. The area indicated in the heraldic base is 8.11 km². The coat of arms and flag help to preserve historical memory and local identity.
