Lavre was a former parish in the municipality of Montemor-o-Novo, in the district of Évora, corresponding to the town that served as the seat of the former administrative territory.
In 2011, the locality had 740 inhabitants and an area of 116.40 km², data that help to contextualize the territorial and demographic dimension of the former territory.
