Outeiro de Gatos was a former Portuguese parish in the municipality of Mêda, in the district of Guarda. Despite administrative reorganization, it remains a historical, cultural and identity reference in local memory. Its patron saint was Our Lady of Grace.
The area indicated in the heraldic base is 13 km². The coat of arms and flag help to preserve the symbols, memory and historical continuity of the territory.
