Querença was an old parish in the municipality of Loulé, in the district of Faro.
In 2011, the locality registered 759 inhabitants and an area of 33.66 km², values that help to frame the dimension of the old territory.
Querença corresponded to the village that gave the headquarters to the former administrative territory, maintaining still historical and identity value in the local memory. The area indicated in the heraldic base is 43.9 km². The coat of arms and the flag help to preserve the historical memory and identity associated with this former territory.
