Description:
Lagoa is a Portuguese municipality located on the island of São Miguel, in the Autonomous Region of the Azores. Its identity combines the Atlantic tradition, community life and a close relationship with the volcanic and maritime landscape characteristic of the archipelago. The municipal heraldry symbolically accompanies this identity and the continuity of the territory.
