Description:
Pinhel is a Portuguese municipality in the Guarda district, marked by the Beira landscape, historical memory, and the region's wine-growing tradition. The municipality preserves its own identity within the context of the border interior, where heritage, local life, and territory clearly intersect. The historical center, monumental landmarks, and the connection to vineyards and the rural world help define the image of the municipality. The municipal heraldry symbolically reflects this memory and territorial continuity. The municipal holiday is celebrated on August 25th. The area indicated in the heraldic base is 480 km².
